Kaw Lake Water Supply Pipeline

Oklahoma City and its surounding communities have witnessed a period of substantial growth over the past decade. With this growth anticipated to continue, need arose for a secure water source and transmission and distribution system to meet growing demands. The Kaw Lake Water Supply Authority was established to bring water from the Kaw Lake Reservoir southeast to the City of Enid where it will be treated and distributed to surrounding communities. Carstensen Contracting has recently been awarded the first segment of transmission main starting west of Enid and traveling almost 12 miles back northeast towards Kaw Lake. This segment will consist of 30″ steel bar wrapped concrete pipe, air release valves, and open cut crossings through a rural and suburban setting. CCI is excited to be working with one of the largest and most well respected companies in the industry, Garney Companies, who will be the Construction Manager at Risk of the entire Kaw Lake Supply Project. Work is anticipated to start early 2022 and end before fall.
